It is a pity that i haven’t seen Avatar yet, but it will make me feel guilty if i miss Alice in Wonderland directed by Tim Burton, one of my favorite directors. What’s more, Johnny Depp is in the movie. I can’t wait to see what these 2 genius can create to shock all the audience!
I do love Tim’s style, the appearance of the characters, the monsters and even the trees in his movie all combine the elements of horror and comedy. Like this cat, don’t you think it is so horrible and at the same time, so lovely? Click read more and you will see how this cat is made from the sketch to the CG animation.
What is the most astonishing music video i have seen recently? The first one that pops up into my head is Coldplay’s “Strawberry Swing”. I remember when the first time i saw this i had a debate with my colleagues, some thought it was done by CG animation, some said it was done by projection. Finally I am lucky to get the answer when I google Shynola after I notice the name on a book introducing animation, and I found Coldplay in the project list on their website. Save my words, below is the interview about how they made this video, and let’s applause for these pioneers who gave us such a wonderful thing!
